An International Advisory Group supports the national programmes by reviewing their work, identifying trends in the global market, making recommendations to the MeTA Management Board, analysing lessons learned and suggesting directions for MeTA’s second phase, after 2010. Membership is made up of representatives of the seven countries participating in MeTA’s pilot stage, the private sector, civil society and national and international aid organisations.

An International Secretariat coordinates, organises, promotes and supports the global and national levels, channels technical and financial support to the seven countries participating in the pilot phase of MeTA. It maintains contact with them, organises meetings of MeTA working groups and generally services all the governing structures. It is responsible for ensuring that information generated through MeTA is shared by all participants: through this website, dialogues and exchanges between participants, and through development of tools and materials.

A Management Board guides the Secretariat, agrees the support to be provided to countries and coordinates funders and technical support agencies.
