MeTA Structure

The Alliance has four components:

• National Stakeholder Forums, each with a Secretariat, in seven countries
• The International Secretariat
• A Management Board (consisting of the UK Department for International Development, which chairs the Board, the World Health Organization and the World Bank)
• An International Advisory Group

As well as this formal structure, MeTA’s international partners will work together to help create a global research network dedicated to improving access to medicines in developing countries. MeTA will help countries in its own pilot phase to make use of the network.
